The challenge for an optimal and certified solution
It all began when Stabio Life entrusted Martinelli e Rossi architecture studio with designing a twenty-two apartments housing tower that comply with the SNBS requirement – the Swiss Sustainable Building Standard. Veragouth and Xilema was involved in the planning and construction, developing a modular prefab bathroom system. These spaces have all been designed to be of the same size, albeit with the systems installation differing in position based on the layout of the apartment. This approach has sped up and optimized the work, guaranteeing an optimal result from all points of view: each bathroom is composed of a metal structure, on which the GIFAfloor load-bearing slab rests, and of course the four walls and the two floor slabs.
The assembly took place directly in our warehouse, which then made installation on site particularly simple and fast.
An exciting challenge, thought out in every detail: a particular lifting system was also studied for transport and installation, after which the plumbing team simply connected the bathrooms to their respective drains. The advantages are evident, especially for a future use of this already developed system: reduction of design times, construction site optimization, speed of installation, maximum functionality and customizable look between coatings and finishes. Last but not least, the Veragouth and Xilema modular bathrooms are in line with the Minergie standard, the Swiss certification for new and modernized buildings at the top for energy quality and living comfort.
